Hibs terminate Jamie Maclaren loan deal

Last updated : 31 January 2019 By Steve Forbes

According to the Edinburgh Evening News, Hibs have agreed to terminate the loan deal of striker Jamie Maclaren.

The Australian was on a season long loan from German club Darmstadt, but fell out with ex Hibs boss Neil Lennon and lost his place.

Maclaren is set to complete a loan move back to his homeland with Melbourne City, but it could only happen if Hibs agreed to let him leave Edinburgh.

The 25-year-old was a revelation during his first loan spell last season, scoring 8 in 15 games, but has only managed 1 goal this term.

Hibs will be desperate to bolster their attacking options before the window closes tonight, with Reading forward Marc McNulty still a possible arrival.

He follows Charalampos Mavrias, Efe Ambrose, Ross Laidlaw and Emerson Hyndman to leave the Hibees this window.

Hibs-Mad would like to wish Jamie all the very best with his new club.
