Hibs are said to be close to announcing that Paul Heckingbottom is their new manager.
It was thought Michael Appleton was set to take over at Easter Road just 24 hours ago, that deal supposedly collapsed over the settlement fee should he be sacked down the line!!!
Heckingbottom, who it was said was close to taking the job last week, is now being touted as the next Hibees manager.
The former Leeds and Barnsley boss was at East Mains today ironing out the final details of his contract, and it now seems he will replace Neil Lennon at Easter Road.
Saturday's visit of Hamilton Accies could be his first game in charge.
