According to reports coming out of his homeland, Honduras international Jorge Claros could be set to extend his stay in Edinburgh.

The 27-year-old has spent the last 18 months on loan with the Hibees from Honduran side Motagua.

Claros, at first, failed to adapt to the Scottish game, but has turned in to a superb player in the Hibees midfield.

It now seems, according to Motagua chairman Pedro Atala, that Claros has stated his desire to stay longer at Easter Road.

Atala said:

"The return of Jorge Claros to Motagua is pretty much impossible.

"He does not want come back, and Hibernian know this.

"He is most likely to spend another season in Scotland."

"The Pitbull" only has 12 months left on his contract with Motagua, and is said to have suitors in the MLS and elsewhere in Europe, but is keen to stay in Edinburgh after his family settled in the city.

Claros has played over 50 games for the Hibees, and has played in two Scottish Cup Finals in his time at Easter Road.
