Hibs have today been linked with a move for St Johnstone winger Danny Swanson.

The Hibees are said to be set to offer the player a pre-contract, as he is ot-of-contract this coming summer.

Neil Lennon is keen to land the former Hearts player during the January transfer window, but St Johnstone won't be keen to lose a player who has already hit 11 goals this season.

Swanson, 29, has been in fine form for the Perth side this season, with there being a few calls for him to be included in the Scotland squad.

He made his name with Dundee Utd, having signed from Berwick Rangers.

After making over 120 appearances for United, he signed a pre-contract and joined Peterborough United and spent two years there.

Swanson then signed a pre-contract and joined Coventry City after 80 appearances for Peterborough.

His time with Coventry didn't work out, and he was released after only managing 18 games. He also had a short loan spell with St Johnstone during his time at the Ricoh Arena.

Swanson then joined Hearts, another move that didn't workout, only managing 9 games for the Jambos and after five months he was released.

St Johnstone then swooped to sign him on a permanent deal in February this year.
