According to Sky Sports, Hibs have turned down a £2.5m offer from Celtic for striker Anthony Stokes.

The Glasgow club are said to have made a second bid, after having an £800,000 bid turned down on Wednesday.

22-year-old Stokes has been the subject of intense transfer speculation over the last 48 hours, but the Hibees have put their foot down.

Sky Sports are reporting that Hibs chief Rod Petrie has told his Glasgow counterparts that the former Sunderland and Falkirk forward will not be leaving Easter Road for anything less than £4m.

Stokes still has 2 years left on his contract at Easter Road.
