Hibs U19 and Reserve sides in action........

Last updated : 23 October 2007 By Steve Forbes

Both the Hibs reserve side and U19 side have been in action in the last 48 hours, both playing the Old Firm and both securing positive results.

Hibs U19's drew 3-3 with Celtic U19's yesterday, Jordan Cropley grabbed two and new signing from Norwich City Kurtis Byrne got the other. Hibs did however lose a 3-0 lead, which is disappointing.

Also in action THIS afternoon was the Hibs reserve side. They had a game against Rangers and ran out thumping 4-1 winners.

Ross Campbell gave the Hibs second string the lead, before Rangers drew level through a Steve Lennon penalty.

Hibs then regained the lead through a Damon Gray header, after
Republic of Ireland winger Alan O'Brien had ripped open the Gers defence and crossed perfectly for the Geordie front man.

The Hibees then went further ahead through a 20 yard screamer from Ross Campbell - Hibs third and
Campbell's second of the match.

Dean Shiels then compounded Rangers misery as he calmly slotted the ball past the advancing Rangers keeper in stoppage time for number four.
