Hibs win Miller Red Card Appeal

Hibs have today been handed a massive boost as they look to get themselves up the SPL table, with the news that Liam Miller’s red card has been upheld by the SFA.

The Irish international was sent off against Kilmarnock on Saturday, and it looked like he was going to miss both the Boxing Day clash with Aberdeen and the New Year Derby with Hearts at Tynecastle.

Hibs appealed, and the red has been downgraded to a yellow.

Boss Colin Calderwood was delighted, he said:

"We are pleased to have Liam available for selection.

"We felt it was right to contest the decision and we are pleased with the verdict reached by the SFA."
