Young Hibs midfielder David Gold yesterday joined Championship side Cowdenbeath on loan until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old has impressed for the U20 side, and boss Terry Butcher has sent the player out on loan to gain some much needed match experience.
Gold spent the first 3 months of this season on loan at Queens Park in League 2, and the step up to the Championship will help his development.
Cowdenbeath are, of course, managed by former Hibs no.2 Jimmy Nicholl, who will know Gold well from the U20's.
