Hibs youngsters Welsh & Currie Join Stenhousemuir on loan

Hibs boss John Hughes has today allowed two of the clubs youngsters to head out on loan.

Full back Lee Currie & midfielder Sean Welsh have both made the short trip West to sign on loan for a month with second division side Stenhousemuir.

Both Currie & Welsh were part of last season's all conquering Hibs U19 side, and will see this loan time as a chance to gain valuable experience, as they look to push hard, and join fellow youngsters David Wotherspoon & Paul Hanlon in the first team squad at Easter Road.

Stenhousemuir boss John Coughlin was delighted to secure their signatures, and speaking to the official Stenny website said:

"We have managed to bring in two highly rated youngsters from Hibs. That will give us the competition we need to keep everyone at their peak.

"Lee Currie and Sean Welsh are in the first team squad at Easter Road but the emergence of the likes of Paul Hanlon and David Wotherspoon has seen them having to wait patiently for their turn. Both players can play across midfield or at full back and increase my options."
