Injured Hibees midfielder Scott Brown had an operation on Monday which he hopes will finally let him get on with his comeback.
The Scotland Under-21 midfield ace had a screw put in his damaged left ankle after suffering serious ligament damage in a tackle with Celtic’s Alan Thompson in mid-September.
Brown said: "It’s been a nightmare, the team playing well while I’ve been stuck in the physio’s room."
Other Injury news :-
In the physio’s room on Saturday Evening was Guillaume Beuzelin with a twisted ankle, Simon Brown with a hip injury and David Murphy who caught the thumb on his already injured left hand.
All three injuries are said to be minor though, and they should be okay for our trip to Tannadice on Boxing Day.
David Murphy said, "I caught my left thumb during the second half and that’s the side I injured my wrist on so I’ve had ice packed around it to try and stop any swelling and thankfully it seems ok. Guillame was also down there as he twisted his ankle (during a tackle with Gary Mason), but I don’t think it’s too bad and he should be ok for our next match."
"Simon hurt his hip (saving an Andy Tod header), but again I think he will be ok and I thought Ali (Brown) did well when he came on.
He’s a good young keeper with Under 21 caps and we all have confidence in his ability."
