Hibs defender Jonathan Grounds has today returned to parent club Middlesbrough, after his loan deal at Easter Road ended.

22-year-old Grounds still had 3 weeks left on his loan deal in Edinburgh, but Boro manager Tony Mowbray has recalled the left back to the Riverside.

Grounds made 15 starts and scored 1 goal, but failed to really kick on with the Hibees.

His return to Teeside will also allow exciting youngster Callum Booth to stake his claim for the left back slot at Easter Road, after his loan spells with Brechin City and Arbroath.
