Liam Craig set to leave Hibs

Last updated : 26 May 2015 By Steve Forbes

It's been reported tonight that Liam Craig has become the first victim of Hibs failure to gain promotion from the Championship.

The 28-year-old is one of a number of players out-of-contract in the summer, and he has been told by Hibs boss Alan Stubbs he has no future at Easter Road.

Craig has been in & out of the side this season, failing to dislodge the likes of Scott Allan, Dylan McGeouch and Fraser Fyvie from the starting line-up.

The former St Johnstone man joined the Hibees on a pre-contract from the Perth club two years ago, but he has struggled to impress in a green & white shirt.

Craig leaves the club, having made 72 appearances and scoring 12 goals.

Other players who are out-of-contract and who's future's are in doubt are Scott Robertson, Fraser Fyvie, Tomas Cerny, Lewis Stevenson & Liam Fontaine.

The loan deals of Mark Oxley, Dylan McGeouch, Keith Watson and Martin Boyle are also up.

Stubbs is said to be keen to keep Fyvie, Fontaine, McGeouch & Boyle.

The rest could be following Liam Craig out the exit door.
