Morecame eye Hibs midfielder Alex Gogic

English side Morecame have been linked with a move for out-of-favour Hibs midfielder Alex Gogic.

According to the Scottish Sun, the League One side see the Cypriot international as the perfect signing as they look to fight off relegation to League Two at the end of the season.

Gogic, 27, joined the Hibees in the summer of 2020 on a two-year-deal, which runs out in the summer, meaning he is free to speak to other lubs when the January transfer window opens about a pre-contract move.

The former Hamiltom midfield general has fallen down the pecking order at Easter Road, following a bright start to his career in Edinburgh and may see this as a fresh start.

New Hibs boss Shaun Maloney may also see it as a chance to unload some deadwood as he looks to bolster his side this up-coming transfer window.

Hibernian-Mad View:

Gogic had a good start to his career at the Hibees when he first joined from Hamilton, but his form has dipped badly and he found himself either benched or on the sidelines at the end of Jack Ross' reign at Easter Road.

New Hibs boss Shaun Maloney has promised everyone in the squad a clean slate, but Gogic will need to up his performances massively if he wants to stay at Easter Road.

A move could possibly suit both parties, Gogic gets first team football and more wages are freed up for the new manager.

Whatever it promises to be a busy and exciting transfer window.
