The race to secure the signature of Hibs defender Ryan Porteous has taken another twist.
According to the Scotsman, Belgian side Oostende have now joined the race to land the Scotland international.
Porteous, 23, is out-of-contract this summer and can speak to interested clubs now about a pre-contract agreement.
However, Hibs are willing to sell the player now to recoup some money and invest it in his replacement at Easter Road.
Italian side Udinese remain the favourites for his signature, having been locked in talks for a few weeks now with the Hibees, but it's said the two clubs are still a bit apart in his valuation.
Udinese's club partner Watford are another club keen, along with Stoke City, Hull City, Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall and Sunderland in England.
Also, just recently, it was revealed that a number of German Bundesliga clubs were keeping an eye on the player.
Of course there is also the usual, Celtic and Rangers links in the player.
There is also a report in the Herald that a "top flight European club" have asked Hibs the price they want and are milling it over
It's being reported that although there is plenty interest, right now, no move is imminent.
HIBS-MAD VIEW:
It's good to see a number of clubs interested in Porto, it could lead to a bidding war, which is what Hibs want.
Udinese look like the front-runners just now, but it looks like he will have a good few options.
Let's wait and see what happens
