Ryan Porteous facing long-term injury lay-off

Last updated : 21 January 2020 By Steve Forbes

Hibs were handed another blow off the back of the news that Jason Naismith is out for the rest of the season with knee ligament damage, when it was revealed that Ryan Porteous has also suffered a serious knee injury.

Porteous will undergo surgery on the injury, but the good news is, he is expected to return before the end of the season.

The 20-year-old Scotland U21 international suffered the injury in Sunday's clash with Dundee Utd in the Scottish Cup.

A big blow for Hibs, that could force the club into the transfer market.

It could also put an end to any chance of Adam Jackson leaving, who was linked with a move to Bolton after failing to hold down a place in the Hibs side since his summer move from Barnsley.
