South African Striker Ryan Moon on trial with Hibs

Hibs have revealed today that South African international striker Ryan Moon has joined the club on trial.

The 22-year-old will spend two weeks at East Mains in an attempt to win a deal at Easter Road.

Moon has recently left South African side Kaizer Chiefs after 33 appearances and 5 goals.

He has also previously played for Maritzburg United and has been capped 8 times by South Africa, scoring 1 goal.

Editor's Thoughts:

We have to say we have never heard of the player, but it's a trial and surely worth a look.

The Hibees have already secured Christian Doidge in a £350,000 deal, and also have big Florian Kamberi and young Oli Shaw as options up top.

Another striker would be welcome though as there's talk of Shaw going out on loan to gain some experience.

Kamberi hit a form drop last season following the much publicised fall-out with former manager Neil Lennon, so the club really could do with another striker.

Moon has a chance to impress Paul Heckingbottom will he take it?
