According to STV News, English club Stoke City have tabled a bid for Hibs winger Elie Youan.
The report states that the English Championship side have tabled a bid of £1.5m plus add-ons.
Fellow Championship side Blackburn Rovers had a bid turned down a few days ago for the former Nantes man, with that offer said to be under a million pounds, but it's suggested they will come back with a bigger offer.
However, they will need to significantly up their offer if they want to land the player.
Youan, who has been out injured since the Boxing Day win over Hearts at Tynecastle, is said to be keen to leave Easter Road this window, and with only 18 months left on his contract, Hibs may cash out.
He has played 94 times since joining from St Gallen, scoring 21 goals and adding 19 assists.
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW
This is a much better offer for Elie, although, depending on the add-ons, we can see Hibs holding out for more.
We apparently turned down an offer of £2m-£2.5m in the summer, but his contract has dwindled further.
It wouldn't surprise us if Hibs are looking for as close to £2m as they can get.
