Three more names linked with vacant Hibs Job

Three more managers have been linked with the Easter Road hot seat today, with one becoming favourite at the bookies.

Former Chelsea and West Ham number 2 Steve Clarke has seen his odds go from 30/1 at some places, down to 7/4 favourite for the job in the last 24 hours.

It remains to be seen if anything is in this, or if it’s just Hibby’s having a punt that are causing his odds to fall.

Clarke would certainly fit the bill at Easter Road, he is young, exciting, Scottish, and has no previous connection with the club

He has a fantastic CV, and all he needs now is a chance, will "The Tache" give him the oppertunity?

Also throwing their hat’s in the ring are former Portsmouth manager Paul Hart, and German boss Uwe Rapolder

Hart has revealed his interest in the job, having previously managed Crystal Palace and QPR.

He said:

"The Hibs job is one which really interests me.

"They're a club with a great tradition in Scottish football and have produced some excellent young players over the last few years.

"That kind of club is one that appeals and excites me."

Former FC Cologne manager Uwe Rapolder has also let it be known he would be interested in the vacant post.

"Yes I am interested in the Hibernian job.

"I like the idea of the challenge and I have heard a lot of good things about the club and they have superb facilities." revealed Rapolder.

"They have good young players and I believe they can compete with the likes of Rangers and Celtic if they're given the right direction and mentality."
