Hibs have tonight confirmed that defender Tim Clancy has left the club.

Clancy has terminated his contract by mutual consent, allowing him to sign for any club after the window closes tonight at 11pm, as a free agent.

The 29-year-old leaves Easter Road after an injury ravaged 18 months in Leith, after signing for the Hibees on a free from Motherwell in June 2012.

Clancy only managed 19 appearances for the club in that time, having struggled with groin problems, that has seen him miss the last six months of his Hibs career.

The full back is thought to be interesting a number of clubs, with Derry City aswell as former clubs Motherwell and Kilmarnock said to be interested in his signature.

Hibernian-Mad would like to wish Tim all the best for in his future career.
