Hibs today revealed that they are in contract talks with SIX players about contract extensions.

Most notably is Michael Stewart, who after a cracking start to his Hibs career, his form tailed off then he was injured for most of the last quarter of the season.

Hibs are also in talks with youngsters Andy McNeil, Darren Smith, Sean Lynch, Ross Campbell & Kevin McCann.

McNeil, Smith & Lynch have all appeared on the bench this season, due to Hibs shocking injury list this year.

Lynch even came off the bench a couple of times and looked really impressive.

Hibs boss Mogga said "They are young football players trying to find their way in the game. We can see their assets and, as long as they apply themselves and work hard, they have the chance to be players.

"They are young and have a lot of learning to do but their attributes are such that we feel we can work on them and produce first-team players of the future.

"Football is all about opportunities and a number of them have had the chance to get a feel of being in and around the first-team squad, which can only benefit them.

"The challenge for them now, having shown they have the talent to warrant a place in the squad, is to force their way into it on a regular basis and then fight for a place in the team itself."

Is this the next generation of exciting Hibs youth players?

Hibs also revealed today that they have released youngsters Nicky Weightman & Ryan Pow.
