The 26 year-old is attracting interest from the German Bundesliga and has been told by the Austrian national coach, Hans Krankl, that the SPL is not a strong enough league for him to be considered for the national team(And the Austrian is????!!!).
He has struggled to break into the first team much this season as Mowbray's Hibs have been flying.
Alan has been a good servant for Hibs and has had some cracking games in a Hibs shirt, especially at Ibrox when he scored THAT screamer and his performance in the home leg against AEK Athens in the UEFA CUP, but overall he’s been very inconsistent.
This will free up wages for Hibs boss Mowbray to bring in fresh faces in the summer.
