Andy Murray to invest capital into Hibernian

Last updated : 01 April 2013 By Brian Hine
Multi millionaire Tennis Star and world number two Andy Murray from Dunblane has let it slip that he's going to invest money into Hibernian FC, the club he has supported from a young age due to his Grandad,  Roy Erskine, who played for Hibs as a full back in the 1950's.

Talks between Andy, Rod Petrie and Sir Tom farmer are at an advanced stage and it's believed that Andy and his Mum Judy were also instrumental in persuading television presenter Kirsty Gallacher, of Sky news fame and daughter of Hibs supporting golf legend Bernard Gallagher, to take on the roll of
'Patron of Hibernian ladies'
in late February of this year.

Andy has already invested some of his fortune in a Tennis academy in the West Lothian town of Armadale and a chain of hotels called 'Game, Set and Match' (the GSM group) across the continent.

Andy was unavailable for comment for this article as he was busy WINNING the Sony Open trophy in Miami.

Congratulations on a fine win Andy and a Happy Hibby Easter to you.

Hibs-mad would like to  finish off by thanking John HTH Ingles the seventh, a North American based Hibs supporter who gave us the heads up after Andy had told him the good news during an interval at the Sony Open semi final in Miami last week.

Andy had spotted John sporting a Hibs top in the crowd and they managed to get a good few minutes in chatting about the First to wear the Green.

Happy Easter Everyone
