The statement, to the official Hibs site, from the Club this morning reads:

"Hibernian FC is delighted to confirm that Chris Hogg has signed a new contract which commits him to the club until 2009. Commenting on the announcement Manager Tony Mowbray said:
Chris is a model professional for a young man of 20 and he deserves his new deal. Chris waited patiently for his chance to get into the team and then grabbed it with both hands. He works hard at improving his game and I know there is a lot more to come. Chris is an asset to the Club and has the potential to be a future Club Captain.”
