There was some good news for Hibs today as Bobby Williamson was named Premierleague Manager - and Ian Murray was named Young Player of the Month for October.

Stand in skipper Murray has been in sparkling form as of late, culminating in him winning his first Scotland cap, when he came on as a substitute against Canada at ER. The 22 year old has shown maturity beyond his years since taking the captains armband in place of the injured John O'Neil, and has even chipped in with 5 goals already this season.

Surely Bobby Williamson was the only real choice for this month's manager award. He had a tough time at the start of the season, with fans wondering if he was up to the job at our club, but has been recieving the plaudits he deserved after going unbeaten in the league last month. We were bottom and looking like relegation material, but 5 league wins on the spin propelled us up the league.

Unlucky defeats to Rangers in the CIS Cup and Hearts in the league have been the only blemishes recently, and despite our quite public off the field problems with our fianances, things are looking better on the park. In this time we have been missing three important midfielders, Matty Jack, Freddy Arpinon, and John O'Neil, so when these guys are back we should start puching for third again.

Once more, well done Bobby and Ian - you deserve these awards. Now who'se gonna be first to say that the awards are for the team!?!
