Dutch Defender Shelton Martis Agrees to Join Hibs.

Darlington's Dutch defender Shelton Martis (pictured above) has this afternoon agreed to join Hibs.

Martis, 23, yesterday turned down a new 2-year-deal at Darlington and agreed to sign for Tony Mowbray's Hi-Bees!

The 6ft 2in Dutchman was voted as Darlington Player Of The Year last year and the centre half will form a formidable looking partnership with Rob Jones in the centre of Hibs defence.

It's not clear what sort of contract he has signed, but it will all be clear in the next 48 hours.

BUT........ because he is under the age of 24, a fee will be set at a tribunal and Martis will become Tony Mowbray's third signing of the summer, with the promise of more to follow.
