Ecuador go down to Italy

Ulises de la Cruz made his, and Ecuadors debut against Italy this afternoon.

Italy ran out 2-0 winners, with boths goals coming from Italy's very own Wizard of Oz, Christian Vieri. Ecuador looked very nervous early on, and it was no surprise when Vieri netted after just seven minutes.
Ulises de la Cruz
Performed well against Italy

Ulises looked to only decent player Ecuador had, pushing forward from his right back position as often as he could, getting some decent crosses in.

Vieri made it two after 27 minutes, and that was the end of the scoring. de la Cruz continued to look good going forward throughout the game but as always was a little slow in getting back to defend.

The commentators picked up on DLC a fair bit, they were obviously impressed with his forward runs, and even mentioned his two goals against Hearts last season!

They did say however, that he had become a hero in Edinburgh. I don't think he is yet, but if he can transfer his international form to his form for us, there is little doubt his will. If he comes back to us that is!
