Hi-Bees Transfer Rumours - Brellier & Kerr coming to Hibs?????

Last updated : 14 April 2007 By Steve Forbes
Transfer rumours are doing the rounds this morning of who is to arrive at Easter Road in the summer.

Apparently Motherwell midfielder Brian Kerr has ALREADY signed a pre-contract agreement with the Hi-Bees to join in the summer.

26-year-old Kerr joined Motherwell in the summer of 2004 under freedom of contract from English Premiership giants Newcastle United. Kerr had previously spent loan spells at
Coventry City in 2002, then Livingston in 2003. He then returned to Coventry on loan in 2004 for a short spell before joining Terry Butcher's steelmen in the summer.

It now seems Kerr will be heading along the M8 to
Edinburgh come the summer.

The most intriguing of the lot is the supposed capture of Julien Brellier from Hearts on a pre-contract agreement.

The 25-year-old French central midfield hardman is on his way out of the Pink Bus Shelter, after falling foul of Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov and it seems his days at Tynecastle are numbered.

According to this mornings press, Brellier has already put pen to paper on a deal with Hibs.

Although this story could be a complete fabrication, as it's believed it may have started as an April fools joke on a popular Hibernian supporter's website, so i would take this one with a pinch of salt.

One player who is DEFINATLEY heading to Easter Road in the summer is York City goal machine Clayton Donaldson.

Hibs boss John Collins has secured the 22-year-old hitman on a pre-contract agreement that will see him join the Hi-Bees in time for the new season.

Collins did offer York City £50,000 to get him in the January transfer window, but they turned it down, so they could push for promotion back to the football league, Donaldson has scored 25 goals so far for York City.

Donaldson is excited to be joining the Hi-Bees and said:

"I realised there were a few clubs interested and a few had put bids in. I know there were some League clubs but Hibs came in and, football-wise, I think it will be a great move for me.

"I talked to a few people in the game and they couldn't speak more highly of the opportunity."

"I feel this is the time. It (Hibs) was too much to turn down. It's an opportunity not many players in the league get. As I look at it, I'm a York City player and that won't change until I am at Hibs. I will keep working hard to get City in the Football League."

With the recent goings on down Easter Road, a mass clear out is expected. Simon Brown, Zibi Malkowski, Michael Stewart, Scott Brown, Tomas Sowunmi, Stephen Glass & Sam Morrow are just some of the names expected to leave the Hibees in the summer.
