Hibs and Orange join forces

Hibs today announced a tie up with mobile phone telecommunications giant ORANGE.




The deal will enable Hibs supporters to sign up for the ‘Orange World mobile portal’ which will allow fans to experience via their mobile phone, amongst other things:-

1. Match Highlights on video

2. Pre and Post match analysis including match images

3. Interviews with Players and the Manager

4. Downloads of club images

5. Up to date availability alerts on match tickets and travel arrangements

Hibs are the first Scottish Premier club to sign up with Orange, who have top English clubs Manchester City, Liverpool and current English Premier Champions Chelsea already signed up

Hibs Director of the Marketing and Communications, Colin McNeill, said,

“We are delighted to tie up with the UK’s most popular mobile service provider. This tie up, which is Orange’s first involvement within the SPL, will take our mobile supporter communications to the next level.”

Commercial Manager Sports Services at Orange UK, Steve Wallage, added,
This new partnership allows Hibernian supporters to experience much greater, faster information about their Club and the team through their mobile phone. With over one million registered football fans already using the compelling sports services on Orange, this partnership is guaranteed to change the way people experience football.”

As well as highlights of all Premier League games, there are also plans to make available some classic moments from Hibernian FC’s past games.

The Hibernian Interactive Team are to be actively involved with this venture, such is the success of the Interactive features that are on offer on the Official Hibees site.
