The club have bought land in
The 36 acre site needs planning permission, but it is thought there will be NO problem on that front.
It is thought that the site will take 6 months to be granted planning permission.
The site is currently a Milk processing plant built ten years ago to high specification, which will be converted to house changing rooms.
Once finished the site will house a number of facilities including;
*10 FULL size pitches
*Changing Facilities
*Coaches/Tactical Room
*Treatment Area
*An INDOOR Synthetic Pitch
*Full Gym Facilities
Once the site is completed, HIBS will FULLY own the site.
Hibs boss Tony Mowbray said:
"First and foremost it will be somewhere we can go and become better players but it will also be a big selling point in trying to attract players.
"It was a great environment to work in and I am sure our players will enjoy the new training centre. It will give the football club a big lift and a big push forward in trying to entice quality football players to Hibs as well as developing our own youngsters."
"Perhaps it is more important for our Under-19 players who are still at an impressionable age. They'll see they need to do more and more work and they can be there morning,
"We have enough land for nine or ten full-sized pitches but we'll have half-sized pitches for coaching attack and defence, goalkeeping areas and areas for set plays and pitches on which we can play five, seven or nine-a-side games.
"And there will also be show pitches where we can prepare for matches, working with the team that's going to play on the Saturday."
It is thought the complex will be finished by July 2007!
