Hibs captain Rob Jones going nowhere

Last updated : 08 June 2007 By Steve Forbes

Hibs captain Rob Jones is going nowhere according to his agent Kevin Smith.

The English press linked Jones with a move to
West Brom this week to join ex manager Tony Mowbray at the Hawthorns.

Several local radio stations and Hibs messageboards went into rumour overdrive, but it seems the report was a load of nonsense.

The 6ft 7in centre half became the first Hibs captain to lift a trophy in 16 years, when he lifted the Scottish League Cup back in March, The Hibees thumping
Kilmarnock 5-1 in the final.

The player's agent Kevin Smith said:

"We have not spoken to the representatives of any club over Rob Jones and he is contracted to Hibs for the next three seasons."
