Hibs received a blow today with the news that man mountain centre half Rob Jones is facing suspension, after picking up his 6th yellow card of the season in last night's 2-0 away win over Kilmarnock.

Jones will miss Hibs up coming trip to Parkhead to face Celtic.

The good news is however that Jones will be available for Thursday's Scottish Cup 3rd Round replay against Aberdeen at Easter Road, aswell as SPL games against Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Motherwell.

6ft 7in Jones will also be available for the CIS Cup Semi Final tie against St Johnstone at Tynecastle on January 31st.

Hibs boss John Collins said:

"The position Rob plays in it was inevitable he'd pick up another booking. It's a shame because he has been doing well but it now means we'll have the opportunity to field a different partnership for the Celtic game."

Jones has been a revelation since arriving at Hibs for £150,000 from Grimsby Town in the summer, aswell as some solid displays at centre half, he has also chipped in with SIX goals so far this season.
