Hibs defender Ryan Porteous to sign for Besiktas??

Last updated : 26 June 2021 By Steve Forbes

According to Turkish football website Ortaczigi.com - Hibs defender Ryan Porteous is close to sealing a move to Turkish giants Besiktas.

The report suggests a fee and wage have been agreed with Hibs and the 22-year-old, and only a couple formalities need ironed out to conclude the deal.

It's unclear what the fee apparently agreed is, but the Hibees knocked back £1.3m bid from Millwall for the Scotland squad man in January and QPR have also been credited with an interest.

Porteous has played for the Hibees 91 times and scored 9 times.

He still has two years left on his deal at Easter Road, but could he have played his last game?

One to keep an eye on.

The Ortaczigi.com site is the only one, so far, reporting on the deal, but Besiktas have been credited with an interest in the player before.

It would be a dream move for Porteous, with his wages bound to rise substantially and the chance to play in the Champions League next season.

As for the fee, we can surely expect more than £1.3m? and most likely, knowing Hibs, a sell-on included in the deal.
