Ladies and Gents, as you may have been aware, we have been working away in the background setting up the Dnipro Kids Appeal.

We are pleased to announce that we now have an official website where you can catch up on the latest news on the children. Obviously this is new and may suffer the odd piece of teething trouble, so please bare with us.

You can see the website here

http://dniprokids.com/index.html

So to business........we intend to hold an appeal over the Festive Period to raise much needed funds for the kids. This will include a variety of online auctions of various Hibernian related goods, one or two of which, we suspect, will get the Hibs Supporters mouths watering. Stay tuned on Dniprokids.com or your own favourite unofficial Hibs Website, be it the bounce, Hibs.net, MHHM or Hibees-Mad for more details as they come out.

Donations can be made by simply pressing the paypal button at the bottom of the page, or by going to the Donate page at Dnirokids.com. Arrangements will be made for people who wish to donate using other methods of payment.

The Donations we receive will go a long way to making the lives of the kids so much easier and more enjoyable. We intend to give the children a proper Christmas Party with proper hot food, cakes and juice, chocolate, sweets and their own toys. The party will have 'Father Frost', the Ukrainian Santa with a distinct Edinburgh Accent, entertainers, songs and music.
Most of these kids have never experienced that.

We also want to ensure that the orphans are kitted out for the severe winters they have in Dnipropetrovs'k and the warm clothing and boots we buy help do just that. Educationally we hope to assist in keeping the children's classrooms up to date. The state finance only one of the
Sanatoriums classes, we hope to improve the other classrooms in the facility.

Remember the kids live in an institution, and we hope that buying simple things like some curtains, decent bed linen and fixing small things like broken tiles on floors improve the surroundings so so much.

To date we have managed to purchase such items a petrol mower to cut the grass in the acres of grounds, a TV/ DVD and Video player and DVD's to cheer up the long dark winter days, Kettles and Hairdryers, previously unheard of in the facility, Medical equipment to help remove the problems that TB bring to children, warm clothing, sports equipment, seating, toys, games, nappies, soap, toothpaste and tooth brushes and a mobile phone for those emergencies that are bound to come when looking after so many youngsters.

Donated Hibernian Scarves, Hats and Shirts ensure that the Green and White of the club will not be forgotten in the East of the Ukraine.

Please give generously, lets ensure we continue to give a little bit back to those less fortunate than ourselves.

Glory Glory to the Hibees
