THE SFA have enforced the £1000 suspended fine imposed on Hibs following further crowd trouble at Easter Road.
The Hampden beaks enforced the penalty on Hibs after two fans ran onto the pitch during the pre-season friendly with Cardiff Cityand then assistant ref. Andrews was hit by a pie as Moogga's side drew 2-2 with Celtic. It was suspended on condition of no further trouble but alas although Hibs supporters were warned of the possible consequences should there be any further trouble, a cigarette lighter was thrown onto the pitch from the east stand during the league match against Aberdeen at Easter Road on December 11.
Rod Petrie said to the Edinburgh Evening news :- "It is disappointing, but not unexpected, that the committee have decided the fine is now payable. It was a suspended fine subject to there being no repetition of that sort of incident. Regrettably, there was and now we have to pay £1000, money which comes out of the finances available to the manager."
