News has just reached me that Alan Gordon who played for both Hibs (84)and Hearts (126) has lost his battle with cancer and died today at the age of 65
Alan will be forever remembered by us Hibees as he scored twice including goal number 7 in our January New years day demolition of our local rivals Hearts in 1973.
Alan also played for both Dundee teams during his career which also saw him spend some time Durban in the Middle East.
Alan was also a fully qualified accountant and I had the pleasure of his company as we shared a table at an event at Easter Road to honour Eddie Turnbull.
I would like to give Alans family and friends our combined condolences from all at Hibs mad no matter what team we pledge our allegiances to
