Hibs marketing and communications Director to quit !!

Word has reached us that Colin McNeill, Hibernians marketing and communications Director is to quit Hibs in the new year and move on to Scottish Power.
Colin is one of Six Hibernian Directors and he's been with the club for three years enjoying a a very good relationship with the fans, holding forums and taking on board fans suggestions and ideas.

Colin has told David Hardie of the Edinburgh Evening News, that it was an offer he couldn't resist and he's sorry to be leaving Hibs at such an exciting time for the club.

Colin was the man who gave the nod to the Three Flags that were ever present last season prior to kick off at Easter Road and I was proud to be one of the three flag bearers.

It was also a good way of getting closer to the fans as I was given permission to allow various charities and supporters clubs to auction off the opportunity to experience the feeling of being there in the centre circle when our Hibees heroes ran out onto the pitch.

It's just a shame that these flags are now stuck up on the roof of the West Stand getting ripped to bits by the elements and although Colin said he would look into a return of the flags it now seems that won't happen which I think is a shame as no more fans will experience the feeling and honour such an experience gives to us every day fans and it's an event that won't be available to boost the coffers of the select charities that benefited in the past.

Still never say never as the new man coming in might just see it the way I do as a way of getting closer to the fans and giving some fans the experience of a lifetime.

Colin may I take this opportunity to say thank you and all the best in your new venture from all at Hibs-mad.
