Hibs Midfield Dynamo Scott Brown Vows To See Out His Contract!

Hibs midfield dynamo today Scott Brown revealed that he would be withdrawing his transfer request and that he was willing to see out the remaining 2 and a half years on his contract.

Brown has been coveted by a number of clubs and was hoping for a move away from Easter Road, but it looks like he has given up on this idea and has vowed to see out his contract and win back the Hibs fans.

Brown said:

"The good news is I can now concentrate fully on being a Hibs player again and hopefully the supporters will be happy I'm staying for the long haul.

"I'm willing to see out my contract and I'll be withdrawing my transfer demand this week.

"As far as I'm concerned I'll be a Hibs player until 2009. Then, when the time is right, I'll sit down and look at what options I have. Hopefully there will still be a few clubs interested in me.

"The difference is, I'll be able to decide which club I want to talk to and choose the right move.

"What I don't want is for Hibs to come to me this summer and try to put me under pressure to go to a club I don't want to sign for. That's not going to happen."

Hibs boss John Collins was delighted with the news and said:

"If Scott is saying he now wants to stay then I would be a happy, happy manager."

Good news, but i can't see it myself.

Brown will more than likely leave in the summer.
