It has been reported in tonight's press that Hibs are chasing Millwall striker Berry Powel.

Hibs manager Tony Mowbray has said he wanted to strengthen his attacking options after losing Riordan & O'Connor over the last few months, leaving a 40+ goals a season gap in our side.

Powel, 25, was told by new manager Nigel Spackman that he was surplus to requirements, without having seen the player play.

Powel will travel to
Edinburgh this week to discuss a transfer to Easter Road.

It seems we are interested and so is he!

Powel was speaking to a Dutch newspaper and told them:

"They(Hibs) know me very well, I understand they have followed me during my time at FC Den Bosch".

"I will travel to Scotland soon and will see if I get a good feeling with Hibernian.

"Personally, I don't know much about Scotland or Scottish football.

"However, it's clear that they are seriously interested."
