There was a number of Hibs players involved in U-21 internationals last night.

Scotland U-21's went down 3-1 to
France last night, with Hibs players Steven Whittaker, Scott Brown & Kevin Thomson all involved.

Whittaker & Brown were both played out of position, with Whittaker in the centre midfield, when he normally turns out at right back for the Hi-Bees and Scott Brown playing in the unfamiliar role of striker.

Brown and Whittaker both had decent games, but there was a dark cloud hanging over the fitness of Hibs skipper Kevin Thomson, as he was stretchered off after hurting his groin.

He should be ok for the trip to Tannadice to face Dundee Utd next Sunday though.

Hibs young striker Steven Fletcher also won his first U21 cap last night, after scoring a barrowload for the U-19's, Steven got the last 25mins.

Well done Steven.

Scotland's goal coming from a penalty, scored by Rangers player Charlie Adams.

Dean Shiels was also involved last night as
Northern Ireland played away from home in Germany and lost the game 3-2.

The game was played at
Mourneview Park.

Shiels scored from the spot, but the result puts to an end, any chance of
Northern Ireland qualifying for the UEFA U21 Championships.
