Hibs reject Cardiff City offer for Riordan

Hibs today turned down an approach from Welsh side Cardiff City for star striker Derek Riordan.

The offer on the table was £500,000 up front and £500,000 in add ons.

Hibs rejected the bid for Riordan 22, who has scored over 40 goals in two seasons for the Hibees.

The youngster has also been in Walter Smith's last 2 Scotland squads and must surely be on the verge of getting his first start at international level.

Well done Hibs for turning down such a paltry offer, hopefully he will sign the contract on offer, as he says he'd love to stay and has aslo supported the club all his life.
