Hibs release Danny Carmichael

Hibs have today confirmed that winger Danny Carmichael has left the club by mutual consent.

The 26-year-old has left the club, after agreeing a termination of the final year of his deal.

Carmichael signed for the Hibees on a two-year-deal last summer, but struggled to hold down a first team place after strugging with an abdominal injury.

Hibs boss Neil Lennon is looking to trim his squad, and the former Queen of the South player is the first of an expected mini cull, after only managing 9 appearances in a Hibs shirt.

The futures of Alex Harris, Sam Stanton, Jamie Insall & Danny Handling are also said to be up in the air.

Carmichael joins a number of players who left earlier in the summer, with Conrad Logan, Mark Oxley, Niklas Gunnarsson (end of loan), Anthony Stokes (end of loan), Liam Henderson (end of loan), Farid El Alagui, Chris Dagnall & Kevin Thomson in leaving Easter Road.

Hibs-Mad would like to wish Danny all the vey best for the future.
