Hibs Reserves 4-0 Dunfermline Reserves

Hibs reserves played against Dunfermline reserves last night at Easter Road in front of new boss John Collins.

Hibs fielded a very strong side for the game with Scott Brown, Boozy, Steven Fletcher and Benji just a few of the top team stars in action.

It was a chance for the new gaffer to see some of his players in action for the first time.

He no doubt would have been impressed with Scott Brown who totally ran the show from centre midfield. Brown is suspended from the first team at the current moment and used the game to keep his sharpness up.

Hibs were all over
Dunfermline in the first half and took the lead before half time.

The first goal came due to the guile of young Jamie McCluskey, who danced down the wing, before crossing low for an easy finish for Steven Fletcher.

Hibs went in 1-0 up at the break.

Scott Brown then showed John Collins just why he's the best midfielder in the country, he picked up the ball 35 yards from goal, with his back to goal, turned his man and smashed an unbelievable strike into the top corner, giving the young Pars keeper no chance.

Benji then grabbed the Third when Steven Fletcher played him in, he proceeded to round the keeper and roll the ball into the empty net.

Hibs then grabbed the Fourth and final goal through a freak own goal. Benji attempted a cute pass to Fletcher but the
Dunfermline defender attempted to clear but only succeeded in slicing the ball over his own keepers head.

Ft. Hibs 4-0 Dunfermline

The Hibs team was:

McNeil, McCann, Stevenson, Hogg, Konde, Boozy, Brown, Shiels, Fletcher, McCluskey and Benji.

Subs: Ayre, Grof, Smith, Campbell & Lynch.

Plenty for new gaffer Collins to think about.
