"I got a message late yesterday afternoon to say that someone from Bolton had called and would call back within half-an-hour.
"There was no return contact number given and, when I looked up the FA Premiership handbook, the name I'd been given was not listed for Bolton Wanderers so I had no-one to go back to.
"I was in the office for four hours after that and I didn't receive a call, a message or a fax. I checked all the fax and messaging machines before I went home and there was nothing. If Bolton made a bid it certainly wasn't at this club."
