Hibs this afternoon revealed that the club has once again broken its record for season ticket sales after brisk sales of the ever popular "Half" season ticket.

The number of season ticket holders at Easter Road has smashed through the 11,000 mark for the first time in the club's history.

Hibs set a new record last season with with sales of 9,800 and then broke it at the start of this season with sales of 10,500. Hibs have now sold over 500 "Half" season tickets to take the figure past 11,000.

This is in stark contrast to the "Bobby Williamson Days", when the club only had 6,000 season ticket holders.

It has also been revealed that because of the brisk sales there is now NO seats left in either the West Stand or Famous Five Stand.

Hibs boss John Collins was delighted with the news, he told The Edinburgh Evening News:

"It's great news for the club and for the players. The more supporters that we can get to come along to Easter Road the better.

"There's nothing better than running out in front of a full house and having the backing of your own fans can make a huge difference.

"Hopefully they will continue to come along and give us their support."

Fantastic news.
