Hibs announced on Friday evening that they had signed Kevin Thomson on a short term deal.
The 31-year-old joind the Hibees for his third spell, and has signed as player coach on a deal until the end of the season.
Thomson last played for the Hibees in 2014, and has made 128 apperances for the club.
Hibs boss Alan Stubbs said:
“We're very happy to have Kevin join the squad.
“Both Kevin and Anthony have won league and cup medals, and that experience will be important in the run in.
“He’ll also be a strong addition to Eddie’s coaching staff – I’m sure the kids coming through will pick up a lot from Kevin.
“I’ve got to thank the supporters, as well as the board, for their backing – there’s a very positive feeling about the place just now and we’re doing everything we can to get back to the Premiership.
“The supporters have a lot to be excited about, and hopefully they can show their support in numbers at Easter Road on Saturday and for the remainder of the season.”
Thomson is the Hibees 4th signing of the transfer window, following the arrivals of Chris Dagnall, Niklas Gunnerson and Anthony Stokes.
