Hibs v Hearts Festival Cup Games Scrapped???

The much maligned Edinburgh Festival Cup games between Hibs & Hearts could be on the verge of being scrapped.

The games were introduced, to hopefully alert tourists to Edinburgh football.

The first two tournaments were played just between Hibs & Hearts, but it was hoped, that it could be expanded for anything upto EIGHT teams, from across Europe coming to the city to play in a mini tournament.

It looks like it most definitely, won't be played this year with Hibs, entering in the Intertoto Cup, scuppering any chance of a pre-season derby.

It now looks like it could be the end of The Festival Cup.
