It was revealed today that Hibs winger Ivan Sproule will miss a total of FOUR matches after his red card at Ibrox on Saturday.

Sproule was booked for a second time in the match after throwing the ball down in disgust after the referee got a decision, on a throw in, wrong and awarded it to Rangers.

Sproule will now not be available for selection until the visit of
Aberdeen on January 2nd.

Ivan will miss the games against St Mirren, Hearts & Dunfermline.

Sproule is likely to face a hefty fine and extra gym sessions thanks to his reaction!

Hibs boss John Collins was not best pleased by the winger's reaction and said
:

"Four games out is a long time in football and there are some big matches coming up.

"Ivan is now out of the picture and out of my thoughts for the next four games, but rest assured he will be working extremely hard while he is suspended and he will also be heavily fined by the club.

"When I came to the club I said that discipline was the one area we had to work on, it's very important to me and it can also be very costly for players.

"We have got others who can come into the team and Ivan will have to work very hard to get back into the team.

"That's the nature of the game, whoever has got the jersey will want to keep it and if someone comes in and does well they will stay in the team."
