Hibs winger Ivan Sproule joins Bristol City!!!

Last updated : 27 June 2007 By Steve Forbes

Hibs electric paced winger Ivan Sproule has tonight signed for English Championship side Bristol City.

The Castlederg born Northern Irishman has signed for an "undisclosed fee" on a three year contract.

Sproule, 26, signed for Hibs from
Northern Ireland side Institute for a bargain £5,000, two and a half years ago and has become a hero amongst the Hibs support.

He had a habit of scoring against both half's of the Old Firm, but he will probably always be remembered for his hat-rick at Ibrox. With the teams tied a 0-0 with half an hour left on the clock, wee Ivan came off the bench and scored a marvellous treble.

Sproule also turned down a £1m (£2m if you believe some reports) move to Ukrainian side Dnipro a year or so ago.

Sproule played 94 games for Hibs scoring 18 goals. He was also part of the last season's Scottish League Cup winning side.

Good luck at your new club Ivan from everyone at www.Hibernian-mad.co.uk

Hibs legend.

A strange move by Hibs, after making three quality signings, we let one go.
