It has been revealed today that Hibs Youth legend John Park is in talks with West Bromwich Albion about taking over as the Baggies new director of football.

It is though Park held talks with the Baggies over the festive period and he top's a FIVE man shortlist for the job.

Park joined Hibs after following Alex McLeish from Motherwell after he was appointed Hibs boss in 1999.

John has unearthed some of the fine talent that has rolled off the Easter Road conveyer belt in the last 7 years including Gary O'Connor, Kenny Miller, Derek Riordan, Ian Murray, Steven Fletcher, Kevin Thomson and Scott Brown.

Park also helped unearth such talent at Motherwell as James McFadden, Lee McCulloch, Steven Hammell and Steve Craigan.

Forget losing Brown & Thomson, this would be the biggest loss of all.

If we lose Park, it will be a massive blow to the club.
