John O'Neil scored nine minutes from the end to make it two wins out of two against Second Division Kemi last night.

O'Neil cut inside and hit a hard shot low into the bottom corner, and it was enough to win it, but plenty of chances were squandered.

The fact that a winner was scored so late on must look promising for us, as one thing I always remember about playing against Bobby Williamson's Kilmarnock is that they were always fit, and going until the final whistle. If you check back on the stats, I'm sure you'll find that they scored in the last 10 minutes against us on quite a few occasions......hold on, most teams did - oh well, scrap last last remark!

Bobby said to the Daily Record: "We came here for hard games and fitness. We had to go to the final minutes to win but created chances and their keeper had some good saves. I am confident we have the players to score goals when the season starts."

John O'Neil
Captain got only goal
Goalscorer John O'Neil added: "I must admit, I thought it was never coming. Jarkko Wiss had a chance beforehand and I wondered if we would get a goal. When I cut inside I only had one thought in mind. We have had double sessions on the days before games, often in the heat and it is good to get the fitness up. However, I want to win all four games in Finland."

Anyone know the way to Gullane sand dunes?!
